21 months/Release date!!

Okay. I have been absolutely horrible about keeping up on my blog. But here are some updates…

As of January 18, 2014 Elder Raines has officially been out for 21 months! He is such an amazing missionary and makes me so happy :) The fear is starting to set in though, don’t get me wrong, I am BEYOND excited and ready for him to be home. But it’s scary! I’ve been away from this kid for so long, it’s strange to think that my life is going to go back to way it used to be. In the sense that, I am going to have the person back that makes me feel like all is right with the world.

It’s weird, because I feel like I should have so much to say but honestly I don’t. I don’t have anything different to say that I already haven’t said in the past 21 months.

I love him. I miss him. I want him home.

 

I have to keep telling myself that I’m on a roller coaster and that I need to buckle up and enjoy the ride! Because as soon as I blink….he’ll be home :)

He is leaving Poland at 6:55 a.m. and will arrive in SLC at 7:05 p.m.

That’s only 77 days away. That’s nothing. I got this :)

Down to the Doubles

Listen up people. We are down to double digits. Double. As in 99 days.
Now, all of your jaws should be dropped in amazement. Haha.
This kid will honestly be home before I know it and I just cannot wait.
I got the most amazing email from him this past Monday that just made me fall even more in love with him. Here’s to the next 3 months :)

This is The New Year

Well Happy New Year friends! Can you believe that it’s 2014!? I’ve been waiting for this year for longer than I can even remember. I spend my last night of 2013 with my family, partying it up at my sisters house. We had pizza and delicious junk food for snacks. We also played games until about 10:30. I’m not sure what everyone else did but I fell asleep, haha. I was then woken up ten minutes to midnight and finally the countdown happened. 10…9….8…7…6…*and let the tears begin* (what the? I was totally not expecting that. I was just so overwhelmed with the realization that, oh my gosh…my best friend comes home this year. In just a few short months in fact.) 5…4…3…2..1

To all the people that are excited for this new year, I’m sorry but I’m more excited ;)

We’re finally out of the teens and into the twenties! I’m a little behind on this post though because of all the craziness of the holidays. But I’m just very happy to see the 20’s finally make themselves known ;)
