Package to Mike!

I decided to send Michael a random package. I send it for one reason in particular and I will show you what that is further down the page. So let the scrolling begin ;)

IMG_0621IMG_0623

A Utes shirt because well the Utes rock, we all know that :)
A minion toy that my mom bought me at McDonalds :) No I’m not kidding. Haha. I sent it to Mike because it says “WHAAAAAT?!?” like the minion in Despicable me and Mike always laughed so hard at that part :)
And the jar is for him to put something cool in.

I MISS YO_.

This is the third purple tie that I have bought him. The first one shrunk. The second one got lost in a package…long story, don’t ask. And here is number 3! If something happens to this one then I give up! Haha.

This pen is so cool!

IMG_0631

Without the light on the pen, it’s just a blank piece of paper. But with the light…

IMG_0630

You can read it! haha. Now we can write secret loves letters to each other ;)

The whole reason that I am sending this package is for this little thing. I got it off of the wall last week and with it came a note that said, “I wore this the whole week of trek. It always reminded me to not be the weak link. And to always be strong and have faith! It would be awesome if you could send it to me, but if not that is fine. :)” Of course I’m gonna send this to him!

Love that kid <3

29 Weeks!!

I just wanted you all to know that we are now done to the twenties in weeks!! That number seems so small! I cannot believe that I’m almost done with this wait. I cannot wait to have him back home.

It also makes me smile because 29 was Michael’s soccer number :)

30 Weeks to Go & 17 Months Down!!!

Okay, wait…wasn’t I just barely in Hawaii celebrating 16 months down? That seriously felt like just yesterday. Wow. Well today was a great day! It kind of felt like I celebrated more yesterday because I didn’t work all day and I got an AMAZING letter from him that left biggest smile on my face for the whole entire day. He is just so incredible. He makes me so happy and I couldn’t imagine life without him.

It’s kinda crazy to look back on where I was exactly a year ago today. From looking at my blog I was only on month 5! That’s nuts! I’ve done 5 months three time already! It honestly is crazy how fast time flies.

Well Michael is still Assistant to the President! He absolutely loves what he does and he is incredible at it. He is still staying super busy which is great for him because he says that time is flying by! I miss that boy but as Mike said in his last letter. “It shant be long. Nay not even three drops of winter’s fury, and I’ll be back in the arms of the one I love.” Hahah. That boys humor is so funny! I love him with my whole heart. I know that he is my once in a lifetime <3

Remember to find joy in the journey.

Goldilocks

Well it’s official. I am now back to blonde! And I’m loving it! :)

AFTER

IMG653photo (19)

I used to be blonde back in high school. After I graduated is when I started experimenting and going all sorts of colors from blonde to dark brown and everything in between. This is definitely my favorite of them all.

This is how bored I am that I made a timeline of all of my hair colors…I now realize that I have no life…haha.

all of my lovely hair colors

P.S. As of today Michael has 31 weeks left! AND if his anticipated release date is correct then he now officially comes home in… 7 MONTHS!!!! WHAT WHAT!?! I remember the first 7 months of the wait…the last 7 months will be a piece of cake…right?

“The worst part in life is waiting…

…But the best part of life is having something worth waiting for.”

For the past month, everyday I’ve been grabbing one piece to this puzzle. I finally finished it a couple days ago :)

“Ashlee. I know that life can be rough at time. But I truly want you to always remember that you have a father in heaven who loves you and is watching over both of us. He wants us to be happy no matter what! And the best way to be happy is by living the Gospel, it is so easy to do, and sometimes easy things can be hard. Waiting for me is so easy, but so hard too! So make it easier! Stay busy, do your homework, say your prayers, read your scriptures and remember that I love you so much!”

How can you not think that this boy is a keeper? I’m so blessed to have him in my life.

Hawaii-Day 8: Our Last Day :(

My dad read about a botanical garden that was really neat so we went searching for it. We finally found it but what we didn’t know was that it was a botanical garden/mini golf course!! How cool is that!? We were so excited. This mini golf course was probably the best course we’ve ever been to. It was so beautiful with all the plants everywhere and it was so fun. Every day they pick one of the holes to be the “secret” hole and if you get a hole-in-one on this course then you get a free gelato. Guess who got a free gelato? My pops and it was delicious!

The humidity was definitely not agreeing with my hair haha. But this is a giant snail that I found while golfing. We didn’t get any other pictures though…

We then drove down to a harbor and just looked around.

Then drove to one last waterfall before having to leave :(

Glad gas isn’t that expensive in Utah

IMG_0483

My hair does not agree with Hawaii. I don’t even know why I straightened it. Lol.

Well we headed to the airport, our flight left at 9:00PM and didn’t get home until 7:00AM. The flight wasn’t bad. I tried sleeping on the plane but I could never actually fall asleep. Once home, it look a really long time to get used to the time zone, worse then when getting to Hawaii. It was such an amazing trip!! I had so so much fun! Thanks mom and dad! You guys are the best!

Hawaii-Day 7: Goof Off Day

We took a drive up to Waimea Canyon which is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. It was beautiful.

You had to plan this part perfectly because it could go from clear one second to totally cloudy the next.

IMG_1716

One second…

IMG_1719

…and the next. Totally couldn’t see a thing

IMG_1721

My parents are cute

We drove to another part that you could actually hike at.

Wild chickens EVERYWHERE! It’s so weird. They even come into the restaurants and it’s completely normal to everyone.

IMG_1759IMG_1763

Afterwards we drove down to another beach and my dad and I went snorkeling again

These two were total camera hogs. They seriously followed me everywhere, swim at my feet and loved when I took their picture. Haha.
