We started off the day by walking around our hotel in Oahu before having to head to the airport. The plan for today was to head over to a different island, Kauai around 1:00 and explore the island for the rest of the day.
We headed for the airport around 11, funny story about this airline…this airline is called “Go”. And apparently it has a really bad reputation with the locals. When telling them which airline we were taking, they just laughed at us. Not a good sign, but nothing we could do about it. We got through the security and everything just fine. The only thing was that this airport was tiny and it didn’t even feel like we were in an airport. So we thought, how could this airline be that bad? Well…at 12:30 (30 minutes before our flight) they announced that our flight had be postponed until 3:45. Not a super huge deal but still sucked. Then at 3:40, they announced that our flight had been canceled. We spent the next hour trying to figure out a way to get to Kauai, Go Airline was doing nothing to help us. We then found out that a couple had been waiting for a flight to Kauai since the day before, over 24 hours just waiting to get on a flight. We definitely couldn’t let that be us. We found a flight with a different airline at 7:30 and got out of that airport as fast as we could without looking back. We went to a different part of the airport that actually looked like an airport. I honestly had never been more happy more happy to get on an airplane in my entire life. Being stuck in an airport for a total of 8 hours was horrible. Who would want to spend a day in Hawaii like that? Not me. Oh well, we got past it and made it to our hotel and all of us crashed. Ready for a fun filled day tomorrow.
